“The Grand Piano” painting by Robert McAtee

Cascading melodies fascinated a child. The multitude of possibilities and imagination began at the legs of a grand piano.

Eventually, the voice of the child accompanied the journey of notes, stepping along the stones, laughing and learning along the river of dreams.

When the pianist, his mother, sang along with her child, their harmony was heavenly. When sad songs and difficult passages would be explored, their tears would become mountain streams and their resolve would become mountains themselves … unstoppable.

In tandem with the music, there is honesty, transparency, and support. Be it “Moonlight Sonata” or “Flight of the Bumblebee,” the adventure plays on every day … and Mother, you are still my rock as we roll along this beautiful road.
